Cookie Policy
Last updated September 2026
PromptUp keeps cookies to the minimum needed to run the service. This page lists exactly what is set and why.
1. Necessary cookies
These are always on because the service cannot work without them: your authentication session when signed in, an opaque per-browser token that links guest prompt history to your device, and a short-lived abuse-protection token.
2. Functional cookies
Remember your preferences: the result font you picked, the enhancement level you used last, and your cookie choice itself so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
3. Analytics cookies
Optional. When accepted, we record aggregate product events (how often enhancements run, which level was used) so we can improve the service. Prompt text is never included in analytics.
4. Marketing cookies
Optional and opt-in only. When accepted, we measure marketing conversions from ad campaigns (currently Google Ads and OpenAI Ads) so we can tell which campaigns bring people here. These vendors receive only the fact that a step happened (signup, an enhancement, a paid subscription with its amount and currency) — never your email, account id, prompt text or generated content. Nothing is loaded or sent before you accept.
5. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time from the cookie banner, or by clearing cookies for promptup.me in your browser. Your latest choice is recorded with a timestamp so we can honour it.
6. Contact
Cookie questions: hey@promptup.me.
